The presentation examines modern approaches to antibacterial therapy respiratory infections, including bronchitis, pneumonia and exacerbations of COPD. Particular attention is paid the problem of antibiotic resistance, forecasts of its spread by 2050 and methods of combating this phenomenon. They are sorted out main classes of antibiotics, their spectrum of action and optimal treatment regimens for respiratory tract infections.
